2009

CVA revalidation training system is a individual work of my Bachelor Final Project in 2009. My client, CVA revalidation center Het Roessingh came with the problem that there are not enough place for so many patients, so patients with better condition have to revalidate at home.

I designed a system that motivates the patients to do more training at home and improves the distance communication between the patients and the doctors. The system consists of three parts: a insole, a detection watch and a online computer game. The insole has sensors that notice the balance of each steps and the distance that is left off during walking. This information is sent to the watch which also notices the pulsation.

When the patient gets home he /she use the watch as a USB stick to connect to the computer to view the training result and send it to the doctor. This result is also directly processed in the online game which is on the website of the revalidation center Het Roessingh, this game stimulate the communication between the patients. I programmed the sensor control with Max 5, and made the game and website simulation in Flash CS3.
